I usually wait until something big happens until I update. This post I just wanted to write about my kiddos and the things that they are doing. If your bored and want to read along...have at it. :)
My Gracie Roo is such a great helper. She is always keeping the twins out of stuff they shouldn't be in and also keeps them entertained. She is aching to go to pre-school. She's really good about writing her letters and is always doing a project of some sorts. Her new word is FANCY. Its usually used like, "Oh mommy, daddy is going to love dinner because it is soooo fancy!" Or, "Mom, can I please eat with a fancy fork?" Today she came in from playing outside and started to pour her some milk to drink. After a big long gulp she said, "Nothing like a cold cup of milk on a hot summer day!" I don't know where she gets this stuff. I don't know if I wrote about it or not and I'm sure she won't appreciate it. Whenever she lets one go, she always blames it on the person next to her. It's usually daddy or Reece who gets the blame. Last night she tooted and looked up at us to see if we noticed. Once we started laughing she started coughing and said, "I just coughed, it wasn't a toot." She is so funny. :)
My little string bean Reece keeps me laughing non-stop. I used to worry about her weight but then realized that it is probably due to the fact that she DOES NOT HOLD STILL! She's quick and spazzy, and is so happy. Whenever I go to pick her up out of her crib, her legs just keep jumping and going even though I've already picked her up- all while squealing and giggling from excitement. She crawls like a bulldog with her hands turned in and is super fast. She loves to play peek-a-boo but covers her ears instead of her eyes. It is too funny. Also pat-a-cake is one of her favorites. She even claps exactly on the beat and "rolls it" really fast. I've heard her gritting her teeth a few times which I am not thrilled about. Hopefully that won't last. As you can see from her picture below, her finger is up her nose CONSTANTLY! She is just like her dad. Seriously! :) She is such a great eater now and will clear her entire tray no matter what I put on it. She loves food!-just like her mom. :) Da-Da is her favorite word and she will occasionally say ma-ma but for the most part, squeals all the time. I sure enjoy her.
Sweet pea Violet is just a bundle of mellow mush. I can't help but squish her little munchkin cheeks. She is getting really high maintenance about wanting her mom. She will crawl up to me and just lay her head down on my leg until I rub her head or back. She is such a lovey little girl. She absolutely loves to play in the toilet with Reece and I'm sure, is usually the instigator. She says da-da a lot and loves to play pat-a-cake as well. She's kind of a little bird when it comes to eating. She'll just pick at her food and take her sweet time. She hasn't discovered her nostrils yet but blows spit bubbles all the time. I didn't know babies that young could do that! She's so talented :) Both her and Reece love to be chased by me. I will get on all fours and crawl after them and tickle them all while they laugh and squeal. When they are in their cribs I will do the same thing before they get out and Violet always sticks out her hand through the crib slats a little ways so I can "bite" her. She screams and giggles but will stick it out again kind of hesitantly, but still laughs each time I bite her. She loves to play that game. If I ever lay on the floor, she will dash over to me, climb up and attack my face with slobbery, opened mouth "kisses." Reece is usually right behind her but loves to go for my hair. :)
I absolutely love being a mom to my sweet little girls. Each one of them is so special and I love their different personalities. I hope we always have a strong relationship and they still like me when they get older. :) Love you kids!
