Supermodels!!!

What a fun night we had! For Senia's cosmetology school, they had a fashion show where the students dressed each other up and did hair and makeup to show off their fashion capabilities. Senia had her friends Jayla and Kamren get Lillie and Camille all dolled up and Senia was in charge of Gracie and Mariah. They were so adorable. First, me and Jane got them dressed for the big show right before Senia did touch ups on their hair. Don't we look like a couple of pagent moms? ya right.

Then is was runway time. Gracie pretty much led the way. She was a little shy and had her hand over one eye the whole time. Jane joked that they both were one eyed. Gracie's hand was in front of hers and Mariah's hair in front of hers.

Thanks to aunt Jane, we had Senia at the end of the runway bribing them with a princess Barbie for Mariah and a baby for Gracie. We kept telling them all day that they had to walk to the front and back and they would get their dolls. They were so excited.

Heres a few pictures of our other models. They were so beautiful and total naturals when it came time to strut their stuff. :)

Here's Gracie vegging out after a tiring day on the runway. Who says models have it easy?!

Cute as a bug...

I know its only Monday and Halloween isn't until Wednesday, but I'm going to be leaving for Yuma tomorrow afternoon and won't be back until about 4 am Thursday morning. I'm totally bummed that I'm missing all the fun so we decided to go for FHE. We just went around the block to all the families homes. Gracie was so adorable and at first didn't get the whole concept of people putting candy in her bag. She thought she had to share at first and when we got to Brenda's, she took a tootsie roll out of her bag and put it in Brenda's bowl of candy. :) She's so funny. After trick or treating we came home and carved our pumpkins. Life's crazy but somehow we manage to squeeze it all in. (Almost) :) -Becky

It's really happening!!!

Well this last week or two Gracie has decided that she wants to be a big girl and use the potty. It started at Wal-Mart one night. We were in the toy section and she saw a baby that she just had to have. I told her, as I always did, "you can have it if you go pee on the potty." We were doing everything to try and get her out of diapers. Bribes, treats, trips to the park, you name it. Well the next night she told me that she needed her baby from Wal-Mart. I told her she needed to use the potty and then we'd go get it. So she did! It was her bedtime and both of us were in our pj's but we went and got her baby. I got some blocks while I was there to bribe her to go poo. (She loves the blocks at G'mas house.) She's in panties all day and loves to go potty by herself. Its always, "get out mom and close the door." :-) This picture is from yesterday. Me and Dan were inside cleaning and we look out to first see her drop her pants and sit on the grass. When that did feel right she propped herself up on the swing and just went pee. I guess if boys can pee anywhere, so can girls!

Riding with a busload of girls...

I think it's about 11:00 pm and we are in the middle of Oklahoma. That's Shari telling her most embarrassing moment...which I won't repeat. Poor Dan and Cliff, I think they heard a lot more than they probably wanted to. They were such good sports and for most of the time, the life of the party. Behind coach is Gabbi, our Brazilian who was keeping us entertained with telling jokes over the intercom. I think the jokes were funnier because she was trying to translate them in English. She is such a funny girl.

Gracie's first bus ride...

Since Dan and Cliff Hughes were driving us in the bus, we figured we would have my mom and dad bring her to the game. We decided to drop our stuff off at the bus before dropping Gracie off but when she wouldn't get off the bus we decided to take her. She had a lot of fun with coach Shari and kept us all entertained.

If looks could kill...

Natalie at the game. She was a hoot. She got mad because Sally wouldn't let me give her one of the cookies I was holding. She started throwing a tantrum and really rev'd it up when me and Sally whipped out our cameras and started taking pictures of her. I'm sure other people in the gym were looking at us and thinking, "you people are just wrong." It was hilarious.

Road Trip...

My birthday this last Wednesday was a fun one. A couple visits from Brenda, Mom, and Dan (when he wasn't in class), awesome presents and the start of a very LOOOOOOONG road trip. We had a game in Glendale that night and headed over at about 1:30 that afternoon. The original plan for our long weekend was to play our game in Glendale, stay the night, then fly out Thursday morning to play at our tournament in St. Louis on Friday and Saturday. Then fly home on Sunday morning. Well about 2 hours before we are to leave for our game, Shari, my coach calls and asks if Dan could possibly drive us to St. Louis. I don't know what exactly happened with our flight but we ended up driving, all 30 hours that it took us to get there. To back up a little our game in Glendale was good. We didn't win but we had an AWESOME cheering section. Sally and her kids came, complete with a sign and a fresh batch of delicious homemade cookies. They we soooooo good. :) Thanks Sal. Sorry mom's not in the picture, she was busy talking. Imagine that?! My birthday was good and so far its been fun being 24. Thanks for the phone calls and presents. Dan got me one of the new iPod nano's. It's super sweet. My husband sure knows what I like and I've enjoyed it. :)

Watching Yo Gabba...

It's her favorite show. She makes sure that her babies are comfy with their pillows. Such a little mom.
